Daily Mail – Hitler – Prisoner Rehabilitation

It is well known that before WWII the Daily Mail supported Hitler and Mussolini as well as Oswald Moseley (Daily Mail wiki), now there are many arguments that the Mail really hasn’t changed its views much since then, but we shall ignore them and use the Daily Mails own philosophy.

The Daily Mail has problems accepting that many prisoners can be rehabilitated, that capital punishment should be brought back, that punishments should be harsher, it often complains about early release of prisoners.

So there are some crimes that cannot be rehabilitated. Has the Daily Mail been rehabilitated from its fascist past?

What would the Daily Mail say?

On Disagreeing

I often wonder that the dominating hegemony of consensus within an ideology of the private individual, even that consensus passed down to us by the authority of knowledge embedded in our language created in co-operation with others but in unequal power relations, is so ingrained in our culture, that which we uncritically accept in a form of self-discipline that allows us to remain in the normal bounds of social behaviour, that by which we are socialised, means that the majority of people seem to take it personally when someone disagrees with them.
